Hi guys, June is great in Istanbul. T-shirt weather and appx. 25 – 30 degrees celsius should be expected. Sulthanhamet area is very good.

Hi Catherine,

At the moment it is 15 degrees celsius and the sun is shining. You’ll have a great time, the weather is very nice in the spring with daytiem temperatures up towards 20 degrees celsius. Remember a jacket or a wool sweater for those chilly nights though.

I am visiting Turkey next week, moving around different sites – instanbul, cannakkale, troy, ankara, etc. Would like to know what type of clothings should i be packing? Is it very cold now in Turkey? your early advice pls.

Hi Rane,

October can be cold, but you can also get lucky with some very nice days with sunshine and temperatures that allow you to even only wear a t-shirt (+ pants or skirts of course, if not it’s illegal and not very tasteful).

I’m here in Istanbul now, its 14th March. its quite cold and windy but ok. Last year I came in the same week and I was wearing shorts. I visited Bursa on Monday and it was snowing!

There is no special sale in April. But the weather should be quite nice and you will probably enjoy sunny spring weather with 15-20 degrees celsius.

It is very to easy to enjoy the city on its own!
