There’s always a good time to visit Istanbul. Not a big difference between December or January, both are cold months with high chance of rain. Shopping is always good, remember to haggle.

It is not a big January sale like the ones in London or Paris, but of course, many shops tend to sell out yesteryear’s goods at lower prices in January.

If you like a bit of haggling you should go to the Grand Bazaar to get some bargains, Riza. Another favourite of mine is Second Hand Shop By Retro in the “Suriye Pasaji”– on the right side towards the end of Istiklal Boulevard.
