What’s on in Istanbul in 2011

1. International Istanbul Puppet Festival
This Festival is held every year and it brings together many renowned and talented puppeteers from anywhere. The show has some artistic and technological innovations and it unfolds during a week at different locations, Caddebostan Cultural Center being one of them.

2. Istancool by Liberatum

3. International Istanbul Music Festival
Classical music fans are draw to Istanbul to a marathon concert of classical music, at the International Istanbul Music Festival, that first started in 1973. Topkapi Palace is one of the historical places where the festival is held as it welcomes 500 artists and more.

4. International Istanbul Jazz Festival
This festival displays a mix of music genres such as traditional rock, electronic music. However jazz is the main theme and is played by famous artists in more than one place in the city of Istanbul.

5. Sonisphere

6. Chill Out Festival
Putting together artists that perform Jazz, hip-hop, latin music, the Chill Out Festival is hosted by The Kemer Golf & Country Club in Istanbul, offering a continues good time as the artists play for 12 straight hours.

7. Ahirkapi Hidrellez
Ahirkapi Hidrellez is the sping festival of Istanbul and it begins with the parade of some gypsy bands from Hagia Sophia to the Ahirkapi Park where visitors are entertained with ceremonial activities ‘till late in the evening.
